15 years of Jab We Met: 10 dialogues from the Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor blockbuster that are perfect for real-life scenarios

Jab We Met, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan, requires no introduction. Imtiaz Ali wrote and directed the romantic comedy flick. Tarun Arora, Saumya Tandon, and Dara Singh Randhawa also appeared in supporting parts. Jab We Met was Kareena and Shahid's final film as a couple, and it received widespread acclaim from both public and critics. It centers around Aditya (Shahid) and Geet (Kareena), who meet on a train, and she tries to have him follow her to her residence in Bhatinda and then elope with her boyfriend Anshuman Singh (Tarun) while preparing to marry him to her sister Roop Dhillon (Saumya).

In an interview a few years ago, the Veere Di Wedding actress confessed that she was unsure about performing Jab We Met, but Shahid persuaded her to do it.

She stated: "In reality, Shahid suggested that I read the script for this film. 'It's wonderful, the girl's part is amazing, and you should do it,' he said. He put this whole thing together, and we both ended up doing this picture."

Initially, Bobby Deol and Ayesha Takia were cast in the film instead of Kareena and Shahid.

Geet was inspired by a girl Imtiaz Ali encountered on a Delhi bus, and Jab We Met, was initially named Punjab Mail. Despite Imtiaz Ali's other excellent films, such as Love Aaj Kal, Rockstar, Tamasha, and Highway, Jab We Met remains an all-time masterpiece.
