6 upcoming films of Bhumi Pednekar fans are eagerly waiting for!

Bhumi Pednekar is one of the finest among the current crop of young actors in the industry today. 1. Govinda Naam Mera

Written and directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Dharma Productions and Viacom18 Studios, Govinda Naam Mera stars Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani, and Bhumi Pednekar in lead roles. In the film, Bhumi Pednekar plays the wife of Govinda Waghmare (Vicky Kaushal) while Kiara Advani is his girlfriend. The comedy-thriller revolves around Vicky’s character juggling between the two and how he ends up in a dilemma. The film is set to release in theatres on 10 June 2022.

2. Raksha Bandhan

Directed by Aanand L. Rai and produced by Zee Studios, Colour Yellow Productions, and Cape of Good Films, Raksha Bandhan revolves around the love, bonding, and attachment between a brother-sister duo. The film marks the reunion of Bhumi Pednekar and Akshay Kumar after their 2017 superhit Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. The recurring cast includes Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Sadia Khateeb, and Smrithi Srikanth who play Kumar's sisters. Shot extensively in Delhi, Raksha Bandhan will theatrically release on 11 August 2022.

3. Bheed

In Bheed, Bhumi reunites with her Badhaai Do co-star Rajkummar Rao. Directed by Anubhav Sinha, the film also stars Dia Mirza in a pivotal role. A socio-political drama, Bheed was shot across Lucknow in November last year. It is slated to release on 18 November 2022.

4. Afwaah

Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Bhumi Pednekar will be coming together for Sudhir Mishra’s quirky thriller titled Afwaah. As per reports, the film's main storyline will revolve around rumour-mongering and spreading of false information. Produced by Anubhav Sinha's Benaras Media Works and Bhushan Kumar's T-Series, Afwaah is slated to go on floors very soon and will release next year.

5. The Lady Killer

In this suspense drama, Bhumi Pednekar has been cast opposite Arjun Kapoor. As per reports, The Lady Killer chronicles the story of a small-town playboy who falls in love with a “self-destructive beauty” as they embark on a whirlwind romance. The film will be directed by Ajay Bahl, who previously helmed movies like BA Pass (2013) and Section 375 (2019). The Lady Killer is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series in association with Karma Media & Entertainment.

6. Bhakshak

Produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, Bhakshak is inspired by true events and is set in Bihar. It explores the ground reality of crimes against women in the state and revolves around the journey of a woman's quest to seek justice and her perseverance in bringing to light a heinous crime. In the movie, Bhumi Pednekar will be seen essaying the role of a journalist, who braves the consequences, threats, and intimidation while uncovering the gruesome story. Bhakshak was shot across Lucknow and also stars Sanjay Mishra, Aditya Srivastava, and Sai Tamhankar in pivotal roles. It is slated to release later this year.
