Politician Aaditya Thackeray has filed an intervention application in the Bombay High Court, seeking an opportunity to present his side in a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) that urges a CBI investigation into his alleged involvement in the deaths of actor Sushant Singh Rajput and his former manager Disha Salian.
Thackeray's counsel argued that the PIL is not maintainable as the state is already investigating the matter, highlighting the on-going CBI probe into Sushant Singh Rajput's case. The PIL is still awaiting a hearing before the high court bench.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Bandra apartment on June 14, 2020, with the Mumbai police initially considering it a case of suicide. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) subsequently took over the investigation.
Meanwhile, the police are also investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Sushant's former manager, Disha Salian.
