Aamir Khan's Break From Acting May End Sooner Than Expected, Multiple Discussions Going On With Allu Aravind, Including 'Ghajini2'

Following the box office failure of 'Laal Singh Chaddha', Aamir Khan announced that he would take a year off from acting in November 2022 to spend more time with his family. Aamir was slated to begin filming for RS Prasanna's Campeones adaptation, but he confirmed that he will solely produce alongside Sony Pictures India and will not act in it. Six months after his announcement, Khan is again in the spotlight for rumours about his next project.

While nothing has been confirmed, rumours are circulating that Aamir Khan has met with Allu Aravind for the second time in three months, hinting at a possible collaboration. Aamir's team has not released any details however, a source close to the actor told a publication, “Aamir Khan is discussing a project with producer Allu Aravind of Geetha Arts, and they met last week again for the same. They have discussed several project ideas and are eager to work together. But at this point, it is just a mere conversation, with no concrete development so far.”

Further into the chat, the insider stated that while Aamir Khan and Allu Aravind may have multiple projects lined up, the source feels 'Ghajini 2' is one of them. According to the source, “Aamir and Allu Aravind have met on numerous occasions during the last 4-5 months. However, everything has been kept so secretive that nobody is aware of what is actually cooking. Ghajini 2 is definitely one of the projects under consideration, but it’s not yet certain what the other projects are. When things fall into place, we might learn about some developments, but for the time being, it’s all been kept under wraps.”

Ghajini was one of Aamir Khan's most successful films, in which he played Sanjay Singhania, a famous businessman suffering from anterograde amnesia, in the 2008 revenge remake drama. Aamir's outstanding performance was praised around the country. It was first made in the south, with Suriya playing Sanjay Ramasamy.
