Aanand L Rai on Nil Battey Sannata clocking 6 years
Aanand L Rai is known for backing stories rich with human emotions. Every film that he has bankrolled under his banner Colour Yellow Productions has managed to touch the right chord with the audience with their compelling narratives. One of such films is Nil Battey Sannata (2006), which has just clocked 6 years of its theatrical release.
Nil Battey Sannata traced the journey of a single mother who works as a maid with big ambitions for her daughter. The sensitive drama, starring Swara Bhaskar, beautifully dissected the relationship between a mother-daughter.
Directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, Nil Battey Sannata received glowing reviews from critics and did commercially well at the box office.
