Now, it seems that the mystery is unraveling. According to an ETimes report, Akanksha Sharma has been cast as the female lead opposite Kartik Aaryan. Citing an inside source, the publication reported: “Akanksha has had multiple meetings with the makers of the film and there is a possibility that things might get locked.”

Akanksha Sharma, who previously appeared in the music video 'Disco 82' alongside Tiger Shroff, has been selected to star alongside Kartik Aaryan.

The makers of ‘Aashiqui 3’ had previously indicated their intention to introduce a fresh face to carry forward the legacy of this celebrated franchise. While Akanksha has a substantial body of work in the Kannada film industry, she is relatively new to Hindi-speaking audiences, lending credence to the ongoing rumors. However, an official confirmation from the film's production team is awaited before drawing any conclusions.
