faroutakhtar! Happy happy birthday, Shibani sending you guys love.” Bipasha Basu and Ronit Roy also wished Shibani in the comments section.
Farhan and Shibani first met in 2015 on the sets of a television show, I Can Do That, where Farhan was a host and Shibani was a contestant. At that time, Farhan was married to Adhuna Bhabani, with whom he shares two daughters- Shakhya and Akira. Farhan and Adhuna announced their separation in 2016, after 16 years of marriage, and finalized their divorce in 2017.
Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar tied the knot after dating for about four years. Their first public appearance together was at Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone's wedding reception in 2018.
The duo married at Farhan's father Javed Akhtar's farmhouse in Khandala.
Farhan and Shibani gave Nikah and Maharashtrian-style wedding rituals a miss. Instead, they exchanged vows in the presence of near and dear ones. Their closest friends and family joined the couple for their intimate wedding ceremony. Javed, his wife Shabana, Farhan's mother Honey Irani, sister Zoya Akhtar, Shibani's sister Anusha Dandekar, friend Rhea Chakraborty, actor Hrithik Roshan, filmmaker Farah Khan, and others.
On the work front, Farhan Akhtar is on cloud nine as he made his Hollywood debut with 'Ms. Marvel'. The show introduced Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, aka the titular character, who is a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a superhero mega-fan with an oversized imagination -- particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. 'Ms. Marvel' received positive feedback from the netizens. He will be next directing a female-oriented road trip film 'Jee Le Zara,' which stars Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles.
