Abhimanyu Dassani, son of actress Bhagyashree, made his Bollywood debut with the action-comedy flick, Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota (2018). The young actor wowed the crowd with his acting skills and went on to bag several new projects.
The star kid, who is now gearing up for his forthcoming film, Nikamma revealed that his connection with the film industry didn't quite work out for him before he made his acting debut.
When Abhimanyu made his cinematic debut in 2018, he recalled receiving abusive texts.
When asked if the debate against nepotism may be harsh at times, Abhimanyu stated, "Absolutely. I have woken up to hundreds of messages abusing me and telling me that I don't belong here. It still happens, and I feel it is quite narcissistic in a way that I have to prove myself to someone who doesn't know films really. But it's okay, it's part of the game, I guess. I have got all the disadvantages of being an 'insider' and I have got all the disadvantages of being an 'outsider'."
For the unversed, Abhimanyu worked as an assistant director to Rohan Sippy on such films as Dum Maaro Dum (2011) and Nautanki Saala (2013) before kick-starting his acting career.
