Abhishek Bachchan does not believe in the term 'pan-Indian films' and believes it is 'unfair' to say Bollywood is behind

Abhishek Bachchan has never been afraid to speak his mind in public and has been candid about his personal and professional life in interviews. In a recent interview, the Bob Biswas (2021) actor discussed the continuous trend of South remakes in Bollywood and claimed that the Hindi film industry does not lack talent.

Every actor, according to Abhishek, is a part of the same Indian cinema industry. Despite the fact that they work in 'different languages,' they all serve the same 'audience.'

Because his next production is an official Hindi version of the Tamil thriller Oththa Seruppu Size 7 (2019), the actor was asked if Bollywood has become too dependent on South cinema in recent years. He replied, "Indian film industry has always remade its films, anywhere else in India, Hindi films have been remade. There has always been a wonderful exchange of creative ideas, we must remember that at the end of the day, we are part of one large filmmaking family which is called the Indian film industry."

Furthermore, Abhishek noted that intriguing content is created in many industries, citing the success of Alia Bhatt's Gangubai Kathiawadi (2022) and Akshay Kumar's Sooryavanshi (2021). At the end of the day, he claims, the audience only wants to be entertained. "It is not entirely fair to label any film industry. Films in Hindi or any language have always been remade. It is not a new phenomenon. There has always been an exchange (of content) all the time. Nothing wrong in that,” said the actor.
