Producer Mukesh Bhatt has denied the reports that the female lead in the third movie in the 'Aashiqui' franchise is someone else. Bhatt was angry and said, "Every week I read the name of a new leading lady; it's turned into a joke that I'm sick of hearing." Recent news stories said that Tara Sutaria was involved with the idea, but Bhatt said, "That is nonsense." There is not a single bit of truth to this. She isn't even being considered."

Mukesh Bhatt stressed in an exclusive interaction with Zoom, said that no woman would be considered until the music was ready, which shows how important songs are to the Aashiqui series.
