The Ramayana-inspired film ‘Adipurush’, directed by Om Raut, stars Prabhas as Raghava, Kriti as Janaki, Sunny Singh as Shesh, and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh, the villain. 'Adipurush' will premiere on June 16 after a number of postponements. The movie will have its international premiere at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival in New York before going on general release.
The ‘Adipurush’ trailer will be released on Tuesday after noon, after criticism of the teaser's subpar VFX. A fan preview was organised on Monday in Hyderabad prior to its internet release. At the ceremony were actors Prabhas and Kriti as well as director Om Raut. Social media users are currently sharing videos from the ceremony in which fans can be seen cheering wildly as team ‘Adipurush’ is welcomed.
At the Hyderabad venue where the private preview was held, there was a frenzy of people. 'Jai Shri Ram' chants could also be heard during the ceremony. Following this, the trailer was posted online. Today in Mumbai, the 'Adipurush' trailer will be officially shown, but portions from the movie have already started to go viral on social media.
Observations from inside the movie cinema reveal Kriti and Prabhas viewing the trailer with the excited spectators. Kriti is wearing a soft blue-green anarkali, while Prabhas is wearing a simple powder blue kurta pyjama. As they watch the trailer, Kriti can also be seen whispering something in Prabhas' ear. Om Raut shouts 'Jai Shri Ram' slogans at the end of the video, and the audience echoes him.

Director Om Raut had promised to produce stunning images, according to PTI. “Challenges are always there but that will only make our cinema better and journey stronger. Especially with a film like this, which is a first of its kind in India, as we have used technology that is seen in big Hollywood films like Marvels, DC and 'Avatar'.”
