The Mani Ratnam-starrer is being hailed as a historic film, with a worldwide collection of around 285 crores and on its way to reaching the 300 crore barrier. It had a fantastic opening day and made over 24 crores, apparently beating Salman Khan's ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ in terms of collection.
