Ajay Devgn opens up on his relationship with children Nysa and Yug; wants them to be grounded
Ajay Devgn believes that becoming friends with children is more important than having a strict parenting approach.

Ajay Devgn and Kajol met on the set of their first film together, Hulchul (1995). Kajol began to seek love advice from Ajay after the two had become close friends. But, as fate would have it, the soulmates decided to tie the knot in February, 1999. Nysa Devgn and Yug Devgn are their two amazing children. Both Ajay and Kajol adore their children and do everything they can to instill good values in them.
Ajay Devgn sat down for an interview ahead of Father's Day 2022. The devoted father noted that the concept of "strict parenting" is a thing of the past, and that, with the passage of time, today's generation need a more friendly approach. He also spoke about his father, action choreographer Veeru Devgn, and claimed that he was a strict parent to him.
The Singham (2011) actor was quoted saying, “Today parenting is a full-time passion. You must be protective about your kids but you also need to be friends with them. The need to instill good values in them; the need to discipline them is definitely important. However, the way the world is evolving, “strictness” per se, has no place in parenting. When I was growing up, my father was a strict man. However, I understood the reason behind his being strict. Kajol’s parents did a fantastic job of bringing her up.”
On the work front, Ajay Devgn will be next seen in Thank God co-starring Sidharth Malhotra and Rakul Preet Singh.
