Akshay Kumar & Tiger Shroff to lead Ali Abbas Zafar's biggest action entertainer
According to reports, Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff are set to topline the biggest action spectacle ever made in India. Filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar, known for helming Sultan (2016), Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), and Bharat (2019), is attached to direct the untitled film.
Jackky, Deepshikha, and Vashu Bhagnani, who produced Bell Bottom (2021) and are currently bankrolling Cindrella both starring Akshay Kumar, will produce the upcoming actioner under the banner of Pooja Entertainment. The project will go before cameras once Ali Abbas Zafar wraps up his ongoing film with Shahid Kapoor.
Sharing more details, a source close to the development informs a publication, “Ali Abbas Zafar has been planning a big scale two-hero film for a long time now, and he has finally locked the script that does justice to the presence of two big action stars. He narrated the idea to both Akshay and Tiger, who have already agreed to do this action spectacle with little comedy. It will go on floors sometime late next year, once Ali is done with the work on his current assignment with Shahid Kapoor."
Having Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, two of the biggest action superstars of Bollywood in one film is not easy, but the Bhagnanis are ready to take the risk and mount the film on a lavish scale.
“The Bhagnanis and Ali were always clear on bringing two giant forces in the action space together for this one. And who better than the Khiladi and young action star. It’s going to be among the biggest action spectacles of the Hindi film industry," the source says in conclusion.
