Akshay Kumar, Emraan Hashmi and Nushrratt Bharuccha to begin filming Selfiee in Bhopal

Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi are set to begin filming for their recently announced film Selfiee. To be directed by Raj Mehta, the film also stars Nushrratt Bharuccha in the lead role. The team is set to commence the first shooting schedule in Bhopal.
Some media outlets had earlier reported that Jacqueline Fernandez may also appear in the forthcoming film. However, a leading publication now reports that the makers are instead in talks with Diana Penty who may join the cast soon. She is yet to sign the project on the dotted line, though.
While announcing the film a couple of weeks ago, Kumar and Hashmi had shared selfies on social media, prompting producer Karan Johar to release a special video announcing the film.
For the uninitiated, Selfiee is the official remake of the successful Malayalam-language comedy-drama Driving Licence (2019), starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu. The Lal Jr directorial revolves around a superstar (Sukumaran) famous for his driving skills but loses his licence. However, the issue spins out of control after he locks horns with a motor inspector (Venjaramoodu), who happens to be a fan of the actor.
