Akshay Kumar responds to memes doing a biopic on runner Pradeep Mehra in his upcoming flick

Memes and jokes about actor Akshay Kumar's choice of inspiring and biographical flicks are nothing new due to his past projects like Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (2017), Padman (2018), Mission Mangal (2019), etc. The star accepts it cheerfully and considers it a "point of pride." It all started with Akshay playing Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra last year, and has since expanded to include 126-year-old Swami Sivananda and now 19-year-old midnight runner Pradeep Mehra.

For those unfamiliar with Pradeep Mehra's narrative, filmmaker Vinod Kapri noticed a man running home from work. He offered him a lift, but he declined and explained that he works in Sector 16 of Noida and travels to his home in this manner. The 19-year-old Uttarakhand lad informed the filmmaker that he runs home every day because he is preparing to join the Indian Army.

As soon as Netizens saw the video that surfaced like wildfire on social media, they stared making memes on Akshay Kumar playing a biopic on the life of Pradeep Mehra.

In response to memes, Akshay stated, "If the meme is funny, I laugh. Aur nahi toh kya, normal hai… joke acha hota hai toh aap bhi haste ho na (What else, it's normal. If the joke is good, laugh)? And who doesn’t like a good laugh?"

Akshay is thrilled to be the subject of these memes because he believes it proves that he is still relevant to the audience. He claims that he'couldn't be happier,' believing that he has carved out a niche for himself in which he can fill such roles. “It’s what has helped me stay relevant and in the memory of my audience. The one featuring Pradeep, I saw that one, it’s a still from my upcoming film Raksha Bandhan,” he added.
