After completing his work in Samrat Prithviraj, Akshay Kumar is working round the clock. Some of his work included the ‘Soorarai Pottru’ remake. Now, reports say that his upcoming project, a film based on chief mining engineer Jaswant Sigh Gill, will hit the floors in a month. The film ‘Capsule Gill’, has also roped in Parineeti Chopra.
According to reports by Peeping Moon, Akshay will resume shooting for Capsule Gill, directed by Suresh Desai. Alongside Akshay, Parineeti Chopra, Kumud Sharma, Ravi Kishan, Dibyendu Bhattacharya and others are said to be playing pivotal roles in the film. A source was quoted saying, “Parineeti Chopra plays Akshay's wife, and she will join Akshay in the film's Raigarh schedule. Her role is smaller but a significant one in the film, working as a catalyst to the heroic act of Gill.”
In talks about a shooting schedule, the source shared, “The pre-production and all have been completed and the team will fly to the UK on June 29 to kick-start filming on July 4th". Akshay is going to continue shooting till July 31 and then resume in September after wrapping up the ‘Raksha Bandhan’ promotions.
A little about ‘Capsule Gill’, the film speaks about the 1989 coal mine disaster that took place. Chief engineer Jaswant Singh Gill saved over 60 lives. Ananth Mahadevan, Varun Badola, and Rajesh Sharma are also said to be part of the cast. ‘Capsule Gill’ will be produced by Vashu Bhagnani’s Pooja Entertainment and Kyta Productions.
