Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor address hiding their relationship from Brahmastra director Ayan Mukerji
Brahmastra, the film wherein Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt first grew close and began their romance, has been in production for more than five years. Ayan Mukerji, the film's director, explained how the trio are close friends and do everything together, including taking vacations, watching movies, and hanging out, during a recent event to premiere a sneak peek of the new song from the movie.
Despite their friendship, Ranbir and Alia had to keep Ayan from finding out about their relationship for a while. Ranbir revealed in a media interview, Alia, Ayan and I have spent so much time making Brahmastra that so much has changed in our lives over the years. In these years, whenever we met, Ayan would always be obsessing over Brahmastra. After every conversation, Ayan would always be directing our attention towards Brahmastra. At one point, when Alia and I had started dating, we couldn't even tell Ayan that we'd started seeing each other, fearing that he would freak out."
"Ayan and I were already quite close before Ranbir and I started dating," Alia Bhatt said.
Deva Deva, the second track from Brahmastra, will be released on August 8th. Ayan revealed to the media at the occasion that this was his favourite track from the entire album. Brahmastra will hit the theatres on September 9.
