Alia Bhatt reveals SRK spoke to her in ‘Darlings Lingo’ after watching the film!

After the phenomenal Gangubai Kathiwadi (2022), Alia Bhatt is back with another amazing performance in her recently released film Darlings (2022). The actress, who is also producing the film, is basking in all the positive reviews that are coming in for the film. However, it is the reaction of her co-producer Shah Rukh Khan that left her absolutely floored.

Alia recently revealed that Shah Rukh Khan and his entire family loved Darlings. In fact, Shah Rukh Khan spoke to her in 'Darlings lingo' after watching the movie. Alia further said that Suhana Khan loved Darlings so much that she watched it twice.

“Shah Rukh saw it and he spoke to me in that Darlings lingo ‘thanks yous fors suchs lovelys films’. They (Gauri Khan, Aryan and Suhana) all loved it. They all saw it. They were so kind. Suhana saw it two times. The second she saw I was (like) ‘guts, you have seen this for the second time’.” said an ecstatic Alia.

Noteworthy, Darlings marks the second collaboration of Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan. They had earlier appeared together in Gauri Shinde’s 2016 film Dear Zindagi. The duo share a very cordial rapport with SRK often addressing Alia as ‘the little one’ and ‘the talented little one’.

Recently, the superstar also praised Alia for her performance in Darlings on Twitter. “Been working the last few days non stop….so needed to indulge in my favourite past time….’the love of my own person’ & to pamper myself will spend the day with Prabhuji / Thums up and #DARLINGS (sic).”

Coming to Darlings, the dark comedy is set against the backdrop of a conservative lower middle-class neighbourhood in Mumbai. The story explores the lives of a quirky mother-daughter duo, who while navigating through exceptional circumstances, finds courage and love as they try to find their place in the world.

Directed by Jasmeet K Reen, Darlings stars Alia Bhatt, Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma and Roshan Mathew in lead roles and is streaming on Netflix from 05 August 2022.
