Jhund, which is the much-awaited film of Amitabh Bachchan, is finally ready to be released despite innumerable delays. Jhund is a real-life biographical film based on the life of Vijay Barse, the founder of the Nagpur-based NGO Slum Soccer.
The film tells the story of a professor who helps slum kids find a purpose in life through building a football team. Amitabh Bachchan will essay the role of Vijay Barse in this upcoming sports drama.
The film was delayed for over two years due to the pandemic, but the makers have finally begun the promotional activities for the film. The teaser for the film is out now.
The film also marks the entry of Marathi filmmaker Nagaraj Manjule into Bollywood as director. Nagaraj is popularly known for films like Sairaat (2016) and Fandry (2013). Ajay-Atul will compose the music for the film. There was talk of the film being released on an OTT platform, but the makers decided to release the film on big screens. The film will be released on March 4th.
Jhund is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Raaj Hiremath, Savita Raj Hiremath, Nagraj Manjule, Gargee Kulkarni, and Meenu Aroraa under the banner of T-Series, Tandav Films Entertainment, and Aatpat.
