Ananya Pandey and Vijay Deverakonda leave mid-promotion of their upcoming film ‘Liger’

The much anticipated pan-India film ‘Liger’ starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday has been making headlines since the maker’s first announcement. The film is slated for a theatrical release on the 25th of August. ‘Liger’ is helmed by Puri Jagannadh. The film’s trailer was extremely well received by the audience. The cast for the film apart from Vijay and Ananya includes Ronit Roy and Ramya Krishnan. Shockingly, the film also features the famous American boxer, Mike Tyson. This won't be the first time the boxer has been a part of films, he played himself in the Hollywood movie ‘Hangover’. ‘Liger’ promotions are in full swing. Recently Vijay and Ananya arrived at a Navi Mumbai Mall to promote the film but to everyone’s surprise, had to leave midway. 

The two headliners of the film have been busy promoting the ‘Liger’. From dancing in the streets of Bandra to taking the Local train. The team is leaving no leaf unturned in spreading the message. Recently, Vijay and Ananya arrived at a Navi Mumbai mall, for a promotional event. The minute the stars were in the view of fans the crowd went into a frenzy. Actor Vijay tried to calm the crowd and was heard saying, “Hum idhar hi hain..thoda araam se... I am here only." Vijay’s repeated efforts seemed to go in vain as the crowd did not budge. A source revealed, "The moment Vijay took to the stage, there were sounds of swooning all round. The organisers and volunteers were shocked to see that a few female fans fainted and a few other girls started crying. Loads of fans had posters and sketches of Vijay and then the chants of 'Vijay we love you' started." Due to the uncontrollable nature of the crowd, Vijay and Ananya had to leave the event midway. 

About the film, ‘Liger’ is about an aspiring boxer played by Vijay. His love interest is Ananya Pandey's character. There are several obstacles the lead has to face, creating an epic journey. The film has been shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu. Fans are eagerly awaiting the theatrical release of the film on the 25th of August.
