Many Bollywood celebrities, including some well-known figures, have entered the OTT market recently. Even the prominent females from the 1990s, including Madhuri Dixit, Sushmita Sen, Juhi Chawla, and Raveena Tandon, have opted for digital media to come back. Numerous big-name actors, like Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, and others, had direct OTT releases. In short, the OTT market has changed the course of the entertainment business.
One of the most sought-after leading ladies in Bollywood is Katrina Kaif, who made her acting debut in the 2003 heist flick Boom. The diva has nearly two decades of experience and has collaborated with some of the top stars in the nation on numerous blockbuster movies.
During a media interview, Katrina recently revealed her intentions to enter the OTT market.
The actor said, "I've never had a problem with using OTT or any other type of distribution for a movie. I think there are many things I've always wanted to accomplish, like playing a superhero or directing an action movie with a strong emotional core. I don't see any obstacles if I'm given a chance to do that on a specific platform and am allowed to do so."
When questioned about how she felt about women assuming more leadership roles and performing roles better than previously, Katrina responded, "Since the era of Sridevi, Madhuri, and Rekha, I think women have been picking up the slack. I think that is consistent. We have also witnessed outstanding performances. Women in movies still hold that power and status, at least in my opinion."
