Arshad Warsi, the actor, has been diagnosed with kidney stones and will have surgery today, April 13th. According to reports, the actor has been admitted to a suburban hospital close to his home.
Warsi, who is now filming the criminal comedy Jeevan Bheema Yojana in Mumbai, was said to be uneasy on set. Warsi went to the doctor, who advised him to have the surgery today, and the shoot was halted.
According to a source close to the actor, he had been feeling unwell for some time and chose to have the surgery today. He said, “Arshad sir is resting in a suburban multi-speciality hospital and is expected to undergo surgery for kidney stones tomorrow. He will be wheeled in for the operation at some point in the early hours tomorrow. He had been a little under the weather for some days now, but when he felt the situation getting aggravated, he decided to visit the doctor.”
According to the source, the actor will need some time to heal from the surgery and would be on a specific diet to help him do so. “He has now been advised complete rest, medication and monitored diet and water consumption for the next fortnight or so. He will require some time to recuperate post-surgery. Work will commence only when Arshad sir is ready and cleared by his doctors for shooting,” said the source.
Jeevan Bheema Yojana, directed by Abhishek Dogra, also stars Vijay Raaz, TV actress Sanjeeda Sheikh, and Pooja Chopra in significant roles. Warsi was most recently seen in the Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon film Bachchhan Paandey, which was released on March 18, 2022 in theatres. At the box office, the film garnered a mixed response.
