Being offered meatier roles now, admits Kareena Kapoor Khan
Kareena Kapoor Khan, who is currently in London to shoot for Hansal Mehta's next film, is professionally in a very content and happy space. The actress, whose last release Laal Singh Chaddha had a lackluster performance at the box office, is absolutely unperturbed and looking forward to her upcoming crop of projects with loads of excitement.
While Bebo admits that the number of films have definitely come down owing to her family commitments, she is nevertheless getting good, meatier roles now.
"Since the beginning, I've worked with different filmmakers like Sudhir Mishra and Karan Johar. Right now, opportunities galore as an actor. The scripts I am getting being are way better than what I was being offered a decade ago. I feel this is a very exciting time not just for female actors but for every actor," Kareena said.
Emphasising that she loves commercial and parallel cinema equally, Bebo states that she follows her heart when it comes to choosing projects.
"I believe in following my heart and lliving life the way I want to. Right now, I am doing things I want to. I really wish I could do five films but unfortunately I have to give time to my children as well," the Omkara (2006) actress reveals candidly.
Besides Hansal Mehta's untitled project, Kareena Kapoor will also feature in Sujoy Ghosh's film, the Netflix adaptation of 'The Devotion of Suspect X' and a film on friendship directed by Rajesh Krishnan.
There is also a talk of Kareena, Tabu and Kriti Sanon coming together for a film being jointly produced by Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor. However, an official confirmation regarding the same is awaited.
