'Bheed,' starring Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar, is one of the year's most anticipated films. Recently, the film's creators and cast circulated black-and-white images on social media, implying that the film is about partition. After piquing the audiences' interest with the teaser, the film's trailer has finally been released, and it covers every single tragedy that a poor person had to go through during the lockdown.
The trailer begins with the Prime Minister announcing the nationwide lockdown and borders being closed among states and cities. It shows migrant workers had to travel back to their homes even though the borders were getting closed and the surge of Covid was high. Rajkumar Rao who is a police officer, along with a significant role of Bhumi Pednekar, highlight the condition of every single person during the lockdown.
And how amidst all these, there was partition amongst the upper class and lower class, rich and poor, and religions. The trailer also shows how humans were declared as belonging until they were alive and how their bodies were thrown away after they are dead. Kritika Kamra, Pankaj Kapur, Ashutosh Rana, and Dia Mirza play major roles in this film.
The film ‘Bheed’, produced by T-Series and Benaras Mediaworks, will be released in theatres on March 24, 2023. The film is helmed by Anubhav Sinha who has had an excellent streak of hits in the past.
