Bhumi Pednekar is one of the most talented actresses of Bollywood. She was last seen in the film Badhaai Do (2021) which received mixed reviews from the audience. The actress has now begun filming in Rajasthan for her next flick. Bhumi shared a video from Jodhpur on Instagram, announcing that the filming for her upcoming film, Afwaah, had commenced.
Bhumi will co-star alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the film as the lead character. Renowned director, Sudhir Mishra is directing the film, which is a thriller drama. The film is based on a novel set in India's heartland, and it is produced by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series and filmmaker Anubhav Sinha's Benaras Mediaworks.
When the film was announced, the ace director said, "It's a story I have lived with for a long time and I have only worked each day to make it quirky and twisted. Beneath all of the quirkiness lies a crucial message which I want my viewers to take back home with them. Bhumi and Nawaz are both such powerhouse performers and together they bring fresh chemistry. I can't wait to be on set with them."
On the professional front, Bhumi Pednekar will also be seen in Bheed and The Ladykiller opposite Arjun Kapoor. The Lady Killer, directed by Ajay Bahl, is set to be a murder mystery and will be released next year.
