Bloody Daddy, Shahid Kapoor's next film, now has an official first look poster. Shahid, the film's star, and its director, Ali Abbas Zafar released the first official picture from the film on Wednesday.
On the poster, Shahid is depicted in a close-up while channelling his inner action hero. His white shirt's collar is stained with blood, and his nose is bruised. The first image was accompanied by a simple caption from Shahid: "Teaser dropping BLOODY soon." Ronit Roy, Sanjay Kapoor, Diana Penty, and Vivan Bhatena also star in this action thriller.
Ronit Roy also posted a first peek poster from the film to Twitter with the statement, "I was excited while I was shooting for this now even more excited for you guys to view it. Im so proud to have associated with some of the finest actors in our industry and one of the greatest directors I’ve worked with. Edgy as hell! Probably 1 of the finest in my career."
This will be the first time that Shahid Kapoor and Ali Abbas Zafar have worked together, and the film Bloody Daddy will be the official remake of the 2011 French film Nuit Blanche. The director previously stated in an interview that an OTT version of the original French film Bloody Daddy will be forthcoming. A quote from his speech: "We have packed and presented it as a brand-new film. What I am most excited about is the fact that people will see Shahid in an out-and-out action genre for the first time. It’s a cool contemporary action film. It has a very beautiful story, but a commercial pot-boiler.”
Fire were used by fans to react to the Bloody Daddy poster. One commenter said, "Can't wait (heart eyes emoticons)," while another wrote, "So excited for this after seeing farzi!" Many people also noted the resemblance to John Wick and remarked, "John wick from Flipkart!" when they saw Shahid. Another person said, "Bloody daddy john wick ki copy na ho bss..." I really hope Bloody Daddy doesn't rip off John Wick.
Shahid was most recently seen in Raj and DK's horror web series Farzi. Besides Vijay Sethupathi and Raashii Khanna, the film Farzi also starred Kay Kay Menon, Bhuvan Arora, Regina Cassandra, and Amol Palekar. The criminal drama, which premiered on Prime Video, included the digital acting debuts of Shahid and Vijay.
