Cannes 2023: Interesting! Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Takes A Jibe At The Movies Showcased At The Film Festival; Shares An HACK To Screen A Movie At The Event Without An INVITE

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is one of the most well-known performers from India, and his difficulties and achievements serve as an example to many. Returning to the Cannes Film Festival, a number of famous Indians recently graced the red carpet for numerous screenings in France. The star-studded film festival will come to a close, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui has some interesting things to say about it on May 27,2023. Nawazuddin recounted going through the motions in an interview, which included showing up at the red carpet, posing for pictures, conducting interviews, and going to see your movie.

He continued by saying that a movie might not succeed in the Indian market even if it received favourable reviews at the film festival. The ‘Sacred Games’ actor said that he doesn't understand why certain people attend the film festival while mocking various guests. He said, “I don’t know why some people go there. When I used to go there and meet people, I would ask them, ‘Aap kyun? Aap kaise? Pata hi nahi chalta tha kyun aaye hain, they would say, ‘Humaari bhi film aayi hai, par kahan hai you will never know.”

'The Gangs of Wasseypur' actor also disclosed a technique to show a movie at Cannes without getting invited. Nawaz advised that the simplest approach to show a movie at the event is to rent an auditorium and invite attendees.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui said, “There, this also happens that you take your film, irrespective if it is selected officially or not, there are auditoriums, hire them, give money to the owner of the auditorium, lay your own red carpet, take your own people, click photos there, and show the movie to your people.” He further added, “Come back and say, ‘Our film got screened at Cannes Film Festival.’”
