CBFC Censors Slang In Nawazuddin Siddiqui Starrer ‘Jogi Sara Ra Ra’ But Allows It In Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Sanju’
The phrase "Ghapa Ghap" gained notoriety because in Ranbir Kapoor's 2018 flick Sanju. Vicky Kaushal's character uses the word, which is slang for sex, in the Sanjay Dutt biopic. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) approved it and issued a U/A certificate for the film's clearance. Thought to be deleted from a future movie, Jogira Sara Ra Ra, "Ghapa Ghap" was requested by the CBFC five years later.
Jogira Sara Ra Ra, starring Neha Sharma and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, has been approved with a U/A certificate and 7 cuts. The examining committee for the CBFC requested that the words "daal de...mere" and "Chub raha hai" be muted. A swear word that wasn't on the cut list was also suppressed. The words "E lo...nahin jaayega" and the images displayed in that moment were at one time taken out.

The offensive "finger gesture" images were sometimes deleted from scenes and swapped out for more appropriate images. In a smoking scenario, the anti-smoking ticker was included. Finally, "Ghapa Ghap" was dropped and replaced with more appropriate language. According to the edited list, the exchange in question occurs between a brother and a sister.
The producers of Jogira Sara Ra Ra received the censor certificate on May 8 after these modifications had been made. The certificate specifies 121 minutes as the running time of the movie. It takes 2 hours and 1 minute to complete this romantic comedy adventure.
It's interesting to note that Jogira Sara Ra Ra was scheduled to premiere on May 12, 2023. But the producers chose to delay the movie because of other releases. The new release date for Jogira Sara Ra Ra was May 26, 2023. However, because the original release date was set for the second week of May, the producers started the censorship procedure in order to obtain the certificate before May 12.
