Chiranjeevi hugs and comforts emotional Aamir Khan at Laal Singh Chaddha’s special screening
Aamir Khan invited his close friend and megastar Chiranjeevi, as well as a selected group of his colleagues from the South cinema industry including Nagarjuna, SS Rajamouli, and Pushpa director Sukumar and Naga Chaitanya, to a special screening of his eagerly anticipated new feature, Laal Singh Chaddha, which was the very first showing of this production. The screening was held at Chiranjeevi’s residence in Hyderabad.
Telugu star Chiranjeevi praised and thanked Aamir Khan for holding the special screening and posted a video of Aamir alongside Nagarjuna, SS Rajamouli, Sukumar, and Naga Chaitanya from the event. He gave the film good praise and described it as an emotional journey. He shared the video on his social media handle and captioned it, “Fascinating how a chance meeting & a little chat with my dear friend #AamirKhan Kyoto airport – Japan, a few years ago led to me becoming a part of his dream project #LaalSinghChaddha. Thank You #AamirKhan for the exclusive preview at my home. Heartened by your warm gesture!” In another tweet, he wrote, “Most of all, what a Gem of a film you have made!! Such a wonderful emotional journey!!”
Laal Singh Chaddha upcoming comedy-drama film directed by Advait Chandan from a screenplay written by Eric Roth and adapted by Atul Kulkarni. The film is produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Viacom18 Studios, and Paramount Pictures. It is a remake of the 1994 American film Forrest Gump which itself is based on Winston Groom's 1986 novel of the same name, the film stars Khan as the titular character along with Kareena Kapoor.
