Citadel: Samantha Ruth Prabhu And Varun Dhawan WRAPS UP Shoot For The Film; Says ‘It's A Wrap’

The 'Citadel India' movie with Samantha Ruth Prabhu is now finished with filming. On her Instagram Stories, the actress confirmed that the shooting schedule had been completed. A sequel to Priyanka Chopra's 'Citadel,' directed by Raj & DK, is titled 'Citadel India.' Varun Dhawan and Samantha work together for the first time on film in the series' lead role.

Actress Samantha Ruth works nonstop on her projects while she is in the camera. The actress wrapped up filming for her ambitious and internationally distributed show 'Citadel,' co-starring Varun Dhawan, after completing ‘Shakunthalam’ and ‘Kushi’ back-to-back, demonstrating her passion and commitment to her profession.

Since it was first revealed, 'Citadel' has been highly anticipated, and viewers are eager to see the show, which will include the lead actress in a fully realised action avatar and a never-before-seen part.

The actress released the 'Citadel' shoot wrap-up to her social media accounts with the following caption, "13th of July Will always be a special special day.. And it's a wrap on #CitadelIndia.”

Samantha is expected to move to the US in August for at least a year, according to sources close to the actress who spoke to Hindustan Times. She made the decision to take a hiatus because of her ongoing autoimmune illness battle, which requires extensive therapy and treatment. Samantha plans to receive medical care in the US and might potentially travel to South Korea.

Samantha will demonstrate her action-movie acting prowess in ‘Citadel’ with Varun Dhawan, who plays the major role. The acclaimed filmmaking team Raj and DK are in charge of directing the series. Samantha's next project after ‘Citadel’ is the movie ‘Kushi,’ in which she will star alongside Vijay Deverakonda.

The Telugu film, which will also be released in Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, is scheduled for release on September 1, 2023. Jayaram, Sachin Khedakar, Murali Sharma, Lakshmi, Ali, Rohini, Vennela Kishore, Rahul Ramakrishna, Srikanth Iyengar, and Saranya are among the outstanding actors in the movie.
