Confirmed: Arshad Warsi set to play double role in Jeevan Bheema Yojana
Known for his unmatched comedy expertise, Arshad Warsi has bagged yet another exciting film. The actor has been roped in to play a double role in the upcoming film Jeevan Bheema Yojana. Warsi, who has been a part of showbiz for close to two-and-a-half decades now, will portray a dual role for the first time in his career.
Jeevan Bheema Yojana is a humorous crime comedy. Abhishek Dogra is set to direct as well as produce the film. Warsi will play Jeevan and Bheema, two diametrically opposite but similar-looking characters in the film. While one does a white-collar job, the other is involved in the world of crime.
Confirming his casting, Warsi said, “I was cracking up every now and then during the narration. And the cherry on cake was the double role. The director has his vision and I am following that. I am playing two individuals who look the same, but have completely different personalities. The script has a good balance of humour and drama.”
Talking about the preparation that went into portraying two different characters, the actor said, “As for the prep, the mind is a very powerful tool. Like I was Ajay Kumar in Sehar (2005) and Circuit in Munna Bhai— now imagine them in one film!”
