Confirmed: Karisma Kapoor to star in Abhinay Deo’s Brown

Karisma Kapoor, one of the most popular actresses from the 90s, made her acting comeback and digital debut with Ekta Kapoor’s streaming show Mentalhood in 2020. The show received glowing reviews and fans have been waiting for her next project ever since.
The actress has now confirmed that she is set to star in filmmaker Abhinay Deo’s upcoming project Brown, backed by ZEE Studios. The project has been described as a neo noir crime drama set in the bustling city of Kolkata. In addition to Kapoor, it also stars Surya Sharma in an important role.
Talking about the project, the Raja Hindustani (1996) actress said in a statement, “Brown is the kind of storytelling that is not just exciting but also challenging for any actor and that is exactly what attracted me to take the part up. I can’t wait to begin shooting.”
Though there is no update whether the project is a film or a series, we are surely very excited to see Karisma Kapoor back on the screen. More details on the upcoming project are expected to arrive soon, so stay tuned.
