Prabhas and Pooja Hegde starrer Radhe Shyam was supposed to release on 14th January, but due to increasing COVID-19 numbers across the country, the film is now officially postponed for an indefinite period of time, according to UV creations, the producers of the film.
The UV creations in the recent statement said, “We have been trying our best for the past few days but considering the growing cases of Omicron variant, it looks like we will have to wait for our labour of love to get to the big screens. Radhe Shyam is a story about love vs destiny and we are sure that your love will help us rise over these tough times together. Will see you in cinemas soon.”
Due to growing COVID-19 infections and new variant threats, many state governments asked theater owners to operate on 50% capacity. The states of Delhi, Haryana, and Bihar announced the closing of theatres until further notice.
The Situation like this is not favourable to filmmakers as it will affect the box office collection of the movies that have a high potential of being box office hits. Radhe Shyam, directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, is a period drama based in 1970 Europe.
