Akshay Kumar aka Khiladi of Bollywood appears to be working way too hard. It seems like he's always on screen with the number of movies he releases every year. Bachchan Paandey, Samrat Prithviraj, and Raksha Bandhan, which was Kumar's lowest-grossing movie of 2022, have already been dropped this year. Superstar Akshay Kumar is back with his new movie to make sure his streak of blockbuster movies continues. On Friday, Akshay Kumar shared the teaser for his upcoming movie Cuttputlli on Twitter. Akshay plays a police officer in this movie who is looking for a serial killer. In the teaser, he says, "Serial killer ke sath power Nahi, mind game khelna chahiye."
Sharing the teaser, the actor also announced that the trailer will be out tomorrow. He wrote, "Yeh khel power ka nahi, mind ka hai. Aur is mind game mein aap aur main…sab #Cuttputlli hain. #CuttputlliOnHotstar Dropping on 2nd September. Trailer out tomorrow." On September 2, the movie is scheduled for direct release on Disney+ Hotstar.
The movie is the most recent to showcase Akshay in a police officer role and is produced by Jackky Bhagnani's Pooja Entertainment. He has previously portrayed a policeman in films like Sooryavanshi and Main Khiladi Tu Anari, among others. According to reports, the movie is a Hindi remake of the Amala Paul and Vishnu Vishal-starring Ratsasan from Tamil. The film's female lead, Rakul Preet, was in Mussoorie earlier this year with Akshay for the shooting.
