Deepika Padukone to join the Singham franchise?
Actress enters Rohit Shetty's cop universe as the first female cop.

Deepika Padukone, a Bollywood actor, has been generating headlines one after the other. She is the buzz of the town, from being given the privilege to unveil the trophy at the ongoing FIFA World Cup to winning over fans' hearts with her spectacular performance with husband Ranveer Singh on Current Laga Re during the song premiere in Mumbai. Filmmaker Rohit Shetty has announced that she would star in his upcoming film, adding another feather to her cap.
The Bollywood beauty is slated to join Shetty's cop universe as the first female police officer in the Singham series, playing Lady Singham. Deepika will co-star with Ajay Devgn in the flick.

Singham director Shetty said to a reporter during the song premiere, "Everyone keeps asking when I'm going to present Lady Singham. Lady Singham will be played by Deepika Padukone in Singham Again. She's my cop universe's lady bomb, and we're going to start working on that together next year."
About Cirkus
Deepika has a cameo appearance in Shetty's next film Cirkus, which also stars Ranveer Singh, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Pooja Hegde. Singham Again is the third instalment of Ajay Devgn's Singham franchise. Ranveer Singh, who is also a part of the cop universe, plays Simmba.
