Sanjay Leela Bhansali is currently shooting his first Netflix series, ‘Heeramandi’. The epic film, which stars Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal, and Sanjeeda Sheikh, among others, has been in the works since last year and is set to be completed by November. Following that, the unconventional filmmaker will begin pre-production on his next feature film, ‘Baiju Bawra’, which will star Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. While Bhansali is preoccupied with directing, the 'Bajirao Mastani' filmmaker is also working as a producer on a number of projects. Recently, it was reported that Bhansali is in talks with Shahid Kapoor for a commercial masala movie, and now there are reports on yet another project.
For his upcoming production, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has enlisted the help of Siddhant Chaturvedi and Mrunal Thakur. The project's specifics are being kept under wraps for the time being, but it's expected to be a romance drama in which the two young actors will share screen time for the first time.
Ravi Udyawar, who directed the late Sridevi in the National Award-winning film Mom, has been tapped to direct this film. Ravi has already directed Siddhant in Excel Entertainment's action movie ‘Yudhra’, which will hit theatres early next year. The filmmaker is also working on ‘Ramayana’ with Nitesh Tiwari, but he will begin that enormous three-part epic only after the Bhansali movie is completed.
In the first quarter of 2024, Siddhant and Mrunal will begin filming for this Ravi Udyawar film. Siddhant will finish Dharma Productions' next love story with Triptii Dimri before moving on to this project, while Mrunal has various commitments down south. The ‘Super 30’ actress has previously completed Nani's Telugu flick ‘Hi Nanna’ and is now filming ‘VD13’ with Vijay Deverakonda. She'll go to A.R. Murugadoss’ film after she finishes the latter. Murugadoss' next Tamil action comedy with Sivakarthikeyan will be released at the end of this year.

Siddhant Chaturvedi has two films in the works that will be released in the near future. In Arjun Varain Singh's friendship narrative, ‘Kho Gaye Hum Kahan’, he stars alongside Ananya Panday and Adarsh Gourav, and he also has Excel Entertainment's ‘Yudhra’ in his kitty. Mrunal, on the other hand, has Raja Krishna Menon's war drama ‘Pippa’ and Navjot Gulati's thriller drama ‘Pooja Meri Jaan’ in the works, in addition to three upcoming South Indian films at various stages of production.
