Dinesh Vijan has a Rolodex of films lined up for Maddock Films

Dinesh Vijan showed up to serve with the best and how! Maddock Films green lights six new films with a stunner cast of Akshay Kumar, Tabu, Shraddha Kapoor, Vaani Kapoor, John Abraham, Yami Gautam, Ayushmann Khurrana and more. The projects are content-driven with tight budgets, set to release in 2022-23.

According to sources “Dinesh Vijan is scaling up his production lineup and has planned to roll at least six new films this year. This is in addition to his already announced films such as Bhediya, Tehran, and the yet-untitled Laxman Utekar film with Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan. There’s so much going on at Maddock Films right now, and the energy level out there is at an all-time high. You’ll soon hear multiple announcements coming out of Maddock Films, and mind you, it’s all very exciting."

The Rolodex of films includes the recently launched Sector 36, based on the Nithari murder starring Vikrant Massey and Deepak Dobriyal as the leads. In the coming month John Abraham’s ‘Tehran’, a geopolitical thriller, will begin shooting in the UK. The film is planned to release in 2023.

Dinesh also has Tabu leading the cast for a thriller film ‘Teacher’s Day’. It is exciting to see how the story will play with such a versatile and talented actress. The ‘Made in China’ debut Mithil Musale is said to direct this film.

All while Vijay begins work on the prequel to Stree a horror-comedy re-casting Shradha Kapoor where her character's back story is shared. The film is directed by Aditya Sarpotdar.

Apart from this, Dinesh is working on several more films that are being pitched to actors like Ayushmann Khurrana, Aditya Roy Kapur, Rakul Preet, Kiara Advani, Pooja Hegde and Tara Sutaria. Akshay Kumar has been roped in on an action-thriller film based on the Indian Air Force, said to roll out in the first quarter of the coming year.

Maddock films also have lined up a comedy- thriller starring Yami Gautam and Sunny Kaushal, which is awaiting its release on OTT platforms. A project that has the director Laxman Utekar is also in the works although not much information is out yet.

‘Club You to Death’ a best selling novel by Anuja Chauhan is also said to meet it’s film adaptation. Along with this Maddock Films has two new web-series lined up.

The year 2022-23 seems to be a real busy time for Maddock Films and Dinesh Vijan to say the least.
