At the movie office, Ayushmann Khurrana's 'Dream Girl' sequel opened with ₹10.7 crore and grossed ₹16 crore on its Sunday debut. The picture maintained and gained momentum during the week. The film earned ₹7.75 crore on Raksha Bandhan, bringing its total earnings to nearly ₹60 crore in six days since its premiere.

Ayushmann told ANI that mid- and low-budget films had been successful in recent months, which influenced the film's release. He was pleased with the film's ability to stand out in a crowded field, as shown by its strong performance over 'Jawan' and 'Gadar 2.'

The actor explained that he is inspired by compelling storytelling rather than gender roles in his unique role as Pooja. While acknowledging the history of Kamal Haasan, Govinda, and Aamir Khan playing feminine characters, he embraces the assignment with commitment to do the character right.
