Rajkumar Hirani, the acclaimed director, has recently made headlines, owing to his forthcoming ‘Dunki’, starring Shah Rukh Khan, and his Newcomers Initiative, which aims to bring in fresh talent. While spectators excitedly await the arrival of ‘Dunki’, there are reports that Hirani is branching out into the realm of OTT. In reality, he has selected Vikrant Massey to oversee this intriguing new endeavour.
According to the latest reports, Rajkumar Hirani is working on an OTT project with Vikrant Massey at the helm. Hirani, on the other hand, will not be directing this one. He's taking on the job of producer and contributing his innovative ideas.
The final ensemble cast and other critical aspects are quickly falling into place as production preparations ramp up. For the past year or so, the ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’ filmmaker has been eyeing the OTT market, and when the proper screenplay came along, he lost no time in getting the wheels rolling.
About ‘Dunki’:
Rajkumar Hirani's ‘Dunki’ delves into a fascinating narrative of an illegal immigration practise known as Donkey Flight. Shah Rukh Khan is at the helm of the charge. This film is a collaboration between Red Chillies Entertainment and Jio Studios, and it stars Taapsee Pannu, Dia Mirza, and Boman Irani.
The filming sites ranged from the busy streets of Mumbai to the breathtaking vistas of Kashmir, as well as foreign destinations such as London, Budapest, Jeddah, and Neom. Pritam is in charge of the soundtrack, and C K Muraleedharan is in charge of the cinematography, replacing the original option, Amit Roy.

Vikrant Massey's latest film, ‘12th Fail’, has recently opened in theatres, and early reviews are positive. It is directed by the well-known Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
