Excel Entertainment’s Fukrey 3 starts rolling
After facing numerous delays for a variety of reasons, the next installment of the much-loved Hindi film franchise Fukrey started rolling on Thursday. Actors Ali Fazal, Pulkit Samrat, Richa Chaddha, Varun Sharma, and Manjot Singh return to reprise their popular characters in Fukrey 3.
Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, who helmed Fukrey (2013) and Fukrey Returns (2017), calls the shots for Fukrey 3. Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar bankroll the comic caper under the banner of Excel Entertainment.
Fukrey 3 was initially set to begin production in April last year. However, the makers had to put filming on hold for some time due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Actor Varun Sharma, who plays the popular character of Chucha in the franchise, took to social media on Thursday and announced Fukrey 3 with a lot of excitement. “Shuru Hogayi!” he wrote.
Fukrey 3 is one of the most-awaited comic capers. The team had been working on cracking the right idea to take the franchise for quite some time, and when the makers announced that they are set to roll the film, it created a lot of excitement among the audience.
Fukrey 3 stars Pulkit Samrat, Ali Fazal, Varun Sharma, Richa Chaddha, Manjot Singh, and Pankaj Tripathi in important roles. The film may hit cinemas next years in 2023.
