Actor-singer Farhan Akhtar has declared that he won't be able to play in Australia owing to "unforeseen circumstances" less than two days after his performance at his Pune concert. Over the weekend, Sydney and Melbourne were scheduled to host performances by his band, FarhanLive. He posted about it on Instagram to let his followers know.
Dropping the sad news, he penned a note asking sorry to his fans and wrote, “To my fans in Australia, Due to unforeseen circumstances, our band FarhanLive, has had to call off our Australia tour. We will not be able to travel to Sydney and Melbourne this coming weekend. Please believe me when I say that we share your disappointment. However, I do hope to come to your beautiful country in the near future and perform for you. With love, Farhan.”
At the Vh1 Supersonic Festival on Sunday, Farhan played several popular songs, including Rock On, Pain or Pleasure, and Lonely Childhood. A video from Farhan's show in Pune was posted on his social media accounts.
In the 2021 movie Toofan, in which he played a boxer, Farhan made his final appearance on film. This year, he also made a cameo in the popular Hollywood web series Ms. Marvel. A release date for his upcoming directorial film Jee Le Zaraa, starring Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, and Alia Bhatt, has not yet been announced.
