From Deepika Padukone to Bhagyashree, these 5 Bollywood divas are set to make their Telugu debut

The success of Baahubali brought the Telugu cinema industry into the international spotlight. Bollywood celebrities increasingly appear to be interested in working in Telugu films, and the bulk of big-budget Telugu films are shaping out to be pan-Indian pictures.

While actors such as Ajay Devgn, Suniel Shetty, Vivek Oberoi have already made their Tollywood debut. Here are 5 Bollywood actresses who are set to make their Telugu debut in 2022.

1. Deepika Padukone

After delivering a number of blockbusters in Bollywood, Deepika Padukone is all set to make her Tollywood debut with Mahanati (2018) fame director, Nag Ashwin's Project K. It will be a pan-Indian project starring Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan. It has been widely speculated that Project K is a sci-fi film, though never confirmed.

2. Alia Bhatt

Currently soaring high on the success of Gangubai Kathiawadi (2022), a women centric SLB project, Alia Bhatt will be making her Tollywood debut in Bahubali (2015) director SS. Rajamouli's RRR. It will be a pan-Indian project starring Jr.NTR and Ram Charan as the male protagonists, while Alia Bhatt and British actress Olivia Morris play the female leads in the film. RRR is slated to release on 25th March, 2022.

3. Bhagyashree

The lovely actress, who made her Bollywood debut in the Salman Khan starrer superhit Maine Pyaar Kiya (1989), will be making her comeback to Tollywood after the 1998 Telugu Film Yuvaratna Rana' alongside Balakrishna. She will be seen in Radha Krishna Kumar's Radhe Shyam alongside ace Telugu actor Prabhas and Pooja Hegde. It is set to hit the theatres on 11th March.

4. Ananya Panday

Ananya Panday will be making her Tollywood debut in the film Liger, alongside Telugu heartthrob Vijay Deverakonda. She will be seen playing his love interest in the film. Puri Jagannadh, Charmee Kaur, and Karan Johar are directing the film, which is backed by Puri himself.

5. Saiee Manjrekar

Saiee Manjrekar, who made her Bollywood debut alongside Salman Khan in blockbuster Dabangg 3 (2019) is all set to enter the Telugu cinema. She will be making her Telugu film debut with Ghani, a boxing drama in which she will co-star alongside teen idol Varun Tej. She will also appear in Major, opposite Adivi Sesh.
