Shah Rukh Khan's palatial residence Mannat is more than just any other star residence in Mumbai. The building is one of the city's iconic spots where every SRK fan throngs after landing in the city. Mannat is symbolic of Shah Rukh's rise to stardom and the immense respect, popularity, and love that he has earned from fans over the years.
Recently, the bungalow was in news after a rumour surfaced that the newly put nameplate (worth ₹25 lakh) at Mannat has gone missing. The news gained momentum after a Twitter user shared a video from outside Mannat in which the bungalow's nameplate was missing.
However, the truth is that the nameplate has not been stolen or missing. It has been removed temporarily for repair work underway at Mannat.
“It was taken down for repair. It’s inside the house, in fact in the garden," a source told a leading daily, adding that the nameplate will be put back after the repair work is completed.
It was only after this clarification that SRK lovers took a sigh of relief.
Noteworthy, the cost of the nameplate that adorns the gate of Mannat is around ₹20- 25 lakhs. It has been curated by none other than Gauri Khan, who is an ace interior designer herself.
Talking of SRK, after a screen absence of over four years, he will next feature in Yash Raj Films' Pathaan directed by Siddharth Anand. Co-starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, the film is set to release on 25 January 2023. In April 2022, it was announced that Shah Rukh Khan will be appearing in Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki alongside Taapsee Pannu. The film is scheduled for release on 22 December 2023.
