The actress's statements have surfaced online over the disparity. Her statement follows Priyanka Chopra's discussion over the pay gap in the Bollywood film industry, along with actresses like Tamannaah, Huma Qureshi, Rakul Preet Singh, and Alaya F, Bhumi shared their opinion on the same.
Bhumi has expressed her opinion on the pay gap. She said even if she has 100-200 crores in her bank account, it will not be analogous to her male coworkers. According to her, the scenario will not get only by female roars. There is a need for some stands to be taken. Huma Qureshi and Rakul Preet Singh also reacted to Bhumi Pednekar's statement.
Bhumi also discussed how Hollywood has a payment gap, but their leading co-actors stood for them. However, there is inequality here also, but males have taken a stand and fought for them. Bhumi said male actors confronted the producers and directors who either reduced their pay or maintained their compensation.
