Parineeti Chopra, who made her Hindi film debut with Maneesh Sharma's Ladies vs Ricky Behl (2011), has definitely come a long way. Post a brief sabbatical and return to films with Meri Pyaari Bindu (2016), her onscreen roles have only become more refined and versatile. Currently, the actress is in a happy space when it comes to work and expresses ecstacy at her upcoming crop of films.
While Pari admits that she had to make tough choices in the past, she claims she never regrets after making up her mind about doing a film or not.
Not many know that Parineeti was offered the female lead in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal (opposite Ranbir Kapoor). However, the actress declined the project and the role was later bagged by Rashmika Mandanna.
"Such things are a part and parcel of life. We all must make such choices every day. You only pick what is is right for you,” said Parineeti.
Looking back at her evolution as an actor, the Daawat E Ishq (2014) actress says, "Now, when I meet a producer or a director, it is not what it used to be when I was going through the lowest professionally. The credit goes to Dibakar (Banerjee) and Ribbu (Dasgupta) who gave me roles when people thought I had no potential to pull off such characters."
On work front, Parineeti Chopra has several projects under various stages of production. She will next feature in Uunchai, directed by Sooraj Barjatya under Rajshri Productions. Chopra is currently filming for Capsule Gill, which marks stars Akshay Kumar.
Besides, she has also signed Imtiaz Ali's next titled Chamkila, in which she will star alongside Diljit Dosanjh.
