Here’s the condition Salman Khan put on Aanand L Rai to use Atrangi Re title
The trailer and the songs of the forthcoming Hindi film Atrangi Re have taken the internet by storm. And now, everyone is looking forward to watching Aanand L Rai’s much-awaited directorial, starring Akshay Kumar, Dhanush, and Sara Ali Khan.
After having watched the trailer several times, one thing that any film enthusiast can say is that the title ‘Atrangi Re’ fits the film to a tee. But the story of getting this title is as interesting as the whole film seems to be from its trailer.
Not many people know that the title ‘Atrangi Re’ was registered under superstar Salman Khan’s production house. When Aanand L Rai approached Salman Khan Films, requesting to them to let him use the title for his film, Salman Khan put one condition on the filmmaker
Rai himself reveals what the condition was. “Salman Bhai had the title registered to his production house but he gave it to me on one condition. He told his associates to give the title rights only if I direct the film, otherwise they would not have let it go,” the acclaimed filmmaker tells a publication.
Getting the right title for any film is an uphill task. They say what is in a name. Don’t they know that a name can make or break a film in showbiz?
Atrangi Re is scheduled to start streaming on Disney+ Hotstar on December 24, 2021.
