One of the biggest comedy franchises in the nation is Sajid Nadiadwala's ‘Housefull’ series. The Akshay Kumar-starring movie series has seen a lot of popularity over the years, both at the box office and on television. Yesterday saw the formal announcement of the Housefull franchise's fifth film, which set off a social media frenzy.
The fifth entry in the comedy franchise, ‘Housefull 5’, has been confirmed by actor Akshay Kumar. He says that the movie will be "five times the madness." It will be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Tarun Mansukhani. Riteish Deshmukh's comeback was confirmed in his tweet, however, the other cast members have not yet been identified. Around Diwali of the next year, it will open in cinemas.
Announcing the same, Akshay wrote in his tweet, “Get ready for FIVE times the madness! Bringing to y'all #SajidNadiadwala’s #Housefull5 Directed by tarun_mansukhanin See you in cinemas on Diwali 2024!”
In the Housefull films, Akshay and Ritiesh have remained consistent characters. Sajid Khan directed the first and second sections, Sajid-Farhad the third, and Farhad Samji alone the fourth.
In the 2010 film 'Housefull', Akshay and Riteish appeared with Arjun Rampal, Lara Dutta, Deepika Padukone, Jiah Khan, Boman Irani, and Chunky Pandey. John Abraham, Asin, Jacqueline Fernandez, and the late Rishi Kapoor were among the main cast members of the 2012 film 'Housefull 2'.
Abhishek Bachchan joined Jacqueline, Nargis Fakhri, and Lisa Haydon in Housefull 3 (2016). The most recent, Housefull 4, included practically a brand-new cast in addition to Akshay and Ritiesh. Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde, and Kriti Kharbanda were among them.
Akshay's most recent appearance was in the critically and commercially unsuccessful comedy ‘Selfiee’. Alongside Sonakshi Sinha, he will next be seen in ‘OMG-Oh my God 2’ and Tiger Shroff in the action film ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’.
