"I think that being on such a large set in the first place was quite intimidating for me. Staying in New Delhi and having a middle-class, service-oriented background makes being an actor and appearing on the big screen seem like a far-fetched goal. Before, they would make fun of me. My family never took me seriously because I was so secretive about it when I was younger. I didn't enjoy being there. I didn't begin using still cameras until I was in my late teens, and that's when everything started. People began to see certain characteristics," Sidharth Malhotra said in an interview.

Sidharth also mentioned how Student Of The Year's "huge launch" was a "major milestone" for him."Being a part of that first movie and having such a successful premiere were vital turning points in my life.

I think it's fantastic that I can look back on the past ten years; I believe that was the hardest thing to include. But then, I know the hardships one must face or endure to survive. To entertain this country and work in this industry is a complex undertaking, he continued.

The actor added, "It was like being in Disneyland and seeing Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, assisting Karan Johar, and those gigantic sets," when asked about his experience working with Karan Johar's My Name Is Khan as an assistant director.
