Jawan: Deepika Padukone Did Not CHARGE A Penny For Her Cameo Role, REVEALS ‘SRK And Me Are Each Other’s Lucky Charm!’ (Details Inside)

Shah Rukh Khan has delivered the film business yet another big triumph with ‘Jawan’. The film, directed by Atlee, has grossed Rs. 369.43 crore at the box office. Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi play significant parts in the film. In theatres, Deepika's surprise appearance was received with applause, claps, and whistles. Surprisingly, the actress recently revealed that she did not receive any compensation for her role in ‘Jawan’.

In a conversation, when asked if she charges for making special appearances in films, Deepika said, “No, I don’t. I wanted to be a part of 83 because I wanted it to be an ode to women who stand behind their husbands’ glory. I watched my mother do it. This was my homage to wives who make sacrifices to support their husbands’ careers. Other than that, any special appearance for Shah Rukh Khan, I am there. Same with Rohit Shetty.”

Talking about her equation with SRK, she added, “We are each other’s lucky charm. But honestly, we are beyond luck. We have a sense of ownership over each other.” She further said, “I am one of the few people he is vulnerable with. There is so much trust and respect, and I think that luck is just the cherry on the top.”

Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan have previously collaborated on films such as ‘Om Shanti Om’, ‘Chennai Express’, and ‘Pathaan’. Their chemistry has always been a crowd pleaser, and Jawan is no exception.

‘Jawan’ is a Red Chillies Entertainment production directed by Atlee and co-produced by Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma. The film will be released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on September 7, 2023.
